How To Wear Mint Jeans

I'm branching out of my comfort zone with colored skinny jeans. I recently purchased a pair of mint colored jeggings. This pinterest post inspired me.

I'm always looking for a bargain, so I found some at Wal-mart of all places and they were only $9.94. Now, I don't know how long they'll last and the quality, but I always wash my good clothes in the gentle cycle then hang to air dry so maybe they'll last longer.  I'm always conscious of my rear sticking out so I didn't tuck in my sheer blouse. I'm thinking I should've tucked in just the front like the leopard top above or the simple white tee pic.

New Jean Jacket

So, I totally wore an inappropriate winter outfit today. We had a two-hour delay due to snow, but I rebelled against the snow! I cannot take it anymore! I decided to wear my new jean jacket from my Kohl's order a couple of weeks ago.  It's been hanging in my closet just waiting for me....

I decided to go with the darker wash instead of the medium wash. I'm so excited to get a new denim jacket because you can wear it with a dress, skirt, shorts....the possibilities are endless. I've been debating for a long time whether or not to buy some colored jeans. At last, I did. Since I couldn't make up my mind, I didn't want to splurge and spend a lot of money in case I changed my mind. Now, I don't normally buy clothes from Wal-mart, but I did see some red jeans on clearance for $7.00. I figure for $7.00,what's the worst that could happen?

New Striped Jacket

So, here's the first item I received from the many Kohl's packages that arrived on my front doorstep this week. A girls gotta take advantage of the 30% off coupon and free shipping, right? Don't you just love coming home and seeing boxes by the front door? Luckily, I arrive home before my husband so I can stash all of my goodies away before he sees them. It was the perfect day to wear it. Is spring really only two weeks away? I guess I shouldn't complain because my school did have a two-hour delay due to the snow we got last night. My goodness am I going to have to invest in more skinnier pants. The ones I'm wearing are doing nothing to flatter my body.
Obviously, the mannequin got the pants right :) This jacket will be very versatile this spring. I'm envisioning wearing it with many bright springy colors.

So lately, I've been addicted to chevron as I'm sure most of you are. It's a hot trend right now. I just got this new top in the mail this week and couldn't wait to wear it. I never would have paired this outfit with brown boots a year ago, but I see this look all the time on pinterest and now I love it. I'm starting to rebel against this winter weather. I broke out the black short sleeve sweater dress. Not once today did I feel like putting on a cardi either :)  I did have my nice thick scarf on to keep me warm. I added a skinny leopard belt and the boots I got on clearance from Target.

Best Day Ever

Have you ever felt like you've won the lottery when you've gotten the best deal ever?!?! Last Wednesday my school was canceled due to snow (day already off to a great start) and my daughter's school only had a delay. So,  as I dropped my daughter off at school I waved good-bye and had this sense of giddiness come over me. I had about five hours to myself. I could shop and try on clothes at my leisure. Ahh...pure heaven. I couldn't get to Kohl's and Target fast enough. Needless to say, my day just got better when I spied boots in the clearance aisle at Target. Can you believe I only spent $17.22 for TWO pairs of boots. I almost did a happy dance in the aisle!
